I saw this posting on Ed2010, which is a pretty neat resource for anyone interested in landing their magazine-related dream job. If you’re not the Stylista type but would love to work at a magazine (perhaps other than Elle), Ed2010 might be for you.
There’s advice, message boards, resources, college campus groups, blogs, events and more.
They have job listings, but they’re referred to as “Whisper Jobs”
All of Ed’s jobs are word of mouth, and unless it says “OK to mention Ed,” don’t say you heard about the job from Ed! Ed always posts as much as he knows, so if you don’t see contact info, it’s because Ed doesn’t have any—use your sharp reporting skills to track down a contact.
So it would be best to become really familiar with the site and their advice if you’re looking to sift through their jobs for leads. Oh, and all of the Ed staff, including Ed himself, are full-time magazine editors!
