It’s been a couple of years since I began blogging about working at home. So I figured it was long-over due that I get a new look for the site. Since I don’t have the time to work on my own stylesheets and coding, I decided I’d better start with an existing theme and tweak it just a bit to make it my own.
I wanted a nice three column look for the home page that would nicely transition into a two-column look for the sub-pages and was happy to find a theme created by Justin Tadlock that already did just that. It’s called Newspaperize and had just the look and feel I was going for.
Here’s his description of the theme:
“A 910px, fixed-width, widget-ready theme. Its focus is for news blogs and sites. The template makes it easy to get a lot of information to the user as quickly as possible, but in a stylish way.”
I’ve been working on tweaking things just a bit and will probably continue to do so throughout 2008. It’s a great template to work with and I’d highly recommend anything else he offers. You can see everything he’s released here.
Thanks, Justin and happy new year to all!
