You want to avoid a situation where you’re buying everything from its own store. Try one localized distributor. You may save a couple hundred dollars every year or so by buying from different companies, but it’s also a lot more demanding. Sometimes it’s worth it to have an account with one company that will meet all your needs so you can then focus your attention on what’s really important: running your business.

    Paperwork is one of the most demanding aspects of entrepreneurship, both in time and aggravation. If you’re finding that you’re pouring over numbers every evening and wasting a lot of time doing so, look at ways that you can automate the process. Doing this can give any small business owner Internet-based management, clerical, and administrative solutions in their daily operations. It’s all about taking some of the time out of basic chores like invoicing, expense reporting, and other things.

In the end, there are too many approaches and business solutions to count. The basic idea is that you use existing practices and technologies to take over some of the burden that’s placed on you. Luckily, we live in a time when such tools are available to the general public. Having a successful business isn’t going to be accomplished by your software, but the software and better approaches sure makes it easier to get there.
